Rotary is a world-wide organisation dedicated to good work at both a local and international level. It consists of managers and professionals from all walks of life, who want to make the world a better place.
Magnetic Island Rotary Club (MIRC) was chartered in 2001 by the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise. Since its charter, the club has always been known for its relaxed meetings and relaxed dress code in keeping with the island surroundings. MIRC has raised and distributed in excess of $100,000 since being chartered in mid 2002 and continues to work on a variety of community projects, locally, statewide and internationally.
